London Crane Operator Classes - Crane operator training is for operators and supervisors of overhead lifting machine. The course is suitable for both current and new operators. Course content includes relevant provincial, state and federal safety regulations. The first part of training includes comprehensive in-class lessons and exam. After that is a hands-on customized session along with practical lessons and evaluation.

Course content applies to all categories and types of overhead lifting machinery. Particular instruction would concentrate on aspects of crane operation used at the workplace of the trainee. Upon completion of the course, trainees will know how to operate particular overhead lifting devices, attachments and related parts in an efficient and safe way.

The operator course's goal is to first identify and potentially dangerous operator habits which may develop when an individual operates an overhead crane. Costly damage to equipment and products can be prevented with right habits. Training lessens the likelihood of a workplace injury or incident taking place.

The course would encompass around eight hours of classroom instruction with a couple of hours of hands-on customized, on-site training. Participants are graded on their knowledge of training material through written testing and an evaluation of their practical knowledge. The minimum acceptable score is eighty percent.

The in-class session, the trainee would learn about causes of damages and occurrences, legislation and guidelines, hazard awareness, internal responsibility, design principles and basic equipment, capacity ratings/load weight calculations, safe hosting/operating methods, pre-shift equipment inspections, kinds of hardware, equipment applications/rigging, pedestrian/operator safety, hitches and angles, hand signals for operators and slingers, flipping/turning loads safely.

The customized practical training and evaluation session must be pre-scheduled. It will be held at the trainees' facility after completion of the in-class session. The length of this practical training component is one to two hours. The instructor will train two operators at a time about skills like planning the lift, correct rigging practices and safe operation.

Upon completion of the in-class instruction and the practical operating instruction and evaluation, the trainee would write an exam. Signed safety rules would be required from every participant. Individual wallet certificates would be given to successful trainees. The company will be given a framed wall certificate.
